The Great Railway Run 2026

The Great Railway Run is a 25K road running event organised by the Carrigaline & District Lions Club with the support of Carrigaline AC. A permit has been approved, certificate number 25/466.

The route follows the line of the old railway from Cork city to Carrigaline. The predominantly flat course passes through Blackrock, Rochestown, Passage, Monkstown, Raffeen and Shanbally before finishing at the Lions Youth Centre on Church Road, Carrigaline.

A bus service is provided between the start and finish locations. The bus costs €5 and includes return baggage transfer; it can only be booked during registration and cash will not be accepted on the day.
