The Great Loon Triathlon
The Maine Endurance Sports Alliance, a 501(c)3 nonprofit with application pending, is hosting multi-sport races on Sunday August 9, 2026 in Lincoln, Maine. Events take place at Prince Thomas Park on Lake Mattanawcook, with race start and finish at the park and the swim start from Prince Thomas Park Beach. The transition area for bike and run legs is located at Prince Thomas Park.
The event program includes Olympic and Sprint triathlons plus duathlon options for both distances. The swim bike and run legs for each triathlon distance are listed below.
- Olympic Triathlon: 1500 meter swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run.
- Sprint Triathlon: 750 meter swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run.
- Olympic Duathlon: duathlon option corresponding to Olympic distance.
- Sprint Duathlon: duathlon option corresponding to Sprint distance.
