The Lincoln Marathon Running Festival
The Lincoln Marathon is a USATF sanctioned and Boston certified event held in Lincoln, Maine. Hosted by the Maine Endurance Sports Alliance, the event includes multiple course distances starting at the intersection of West Broadway and Main Street. The routes proceed south on Route 2 toward Enfield. The topography of the course is flat and straight.
The event offers several race distances:
- 26.2 Miles (Full Marathon)
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 10K
- 5K
There is no time limit for participants, and timing services are provided professionally. Runners have the option to drop off personal nutrition bottles at the operations tent before the race begins. These bottles are then placed on designated tables at each water station along the course.
The finish line area features a vendor section for participants and guests. Nearby amenities include parking, lodging, and dining options in the Lincoln area. Registration for the marathon and half marathon closes in May, while dates for the shorter distances vary.
Special recognition is available through series medals. The "Run the Highlands" medal is awarded to those who finish both the Bangor Marathon and the Lincoln Marathon in either full or half configurations. The "Vacationland Triple Crown" is a new offering for participants who complete three of the organizer's four annual races.
Packet pickup takes place on September 19 at The Maine Experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
