The Great Island Trek
The Great Island Trek is a fully supported, non-competitive trekking event on Magnetic Island, Townsville, Queensland, held on 8 August 2026. The event includes multiple trail distances and an All Ability route along Nelly Bay. The organiser lists the event as full for this edition.

- 5 km All Ability, flat and wheelchair friendly along Nelly Bay
- 12 km trail route across Magnetic Island

Entry fees include a fully supported walk across Magnetic Island, on course fruit and hydration stations supplied by Woolworths Townsville, professional on course photography, bag transfer from start to finish, and a high quality event tee. Additional inclusions listed are entry to the TrekFest afterparty at Nomads, a chartered bus transfer after the event from Nomads to the Nelly Bay ferry terminal, discounted travel with SeaLink passenger ferry, and accommodation deals with Best of Magnetic.
