The Great Grape Race
The Great Grape Race takes place on September 19, 2026 at Winesburg Park, located at 7705 Township Road 671. The event raises funds for the Winesburg Reunion and adds a new 10K distance alongside the traditional 5K.

The courses run through rolling hills, farmland, and pastureland along Township Road 671 and Township Road 670, and finish at Winesburg Park during the Fall Festival. The festival at the park will include food trucks, softball games, and other festival activities later in the day.
Packet pickup is available the day of the race beginning at 7 am. Cookies from Timbercrest Bakery and water are provided at the finish line. All participants receive a medal and a voucher for an ice cream cone from Whitmer's General Store.
Registration details from the organizer indicate the 5K registration opened in February 2026 and the 10K registration opened in July 2026, with registration closing on the day of the event. Registration fees are listed as $35 for the 5K and $40 for the 10K. Parking is in the field behind the playground at Winesburg Park; entrants are asked to drive past the park entrance on TR 671, enter at 7771 TR 671, and follow signs to the parking field.
The deadline to guarantee a shirt is two weeks before the event; registrations after that date will not receive a t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
