The Great Grape Race

The Great Grape Race is a 5k run taking place in Winesburg, Ohio, on Saturday, September 19, 2026. It is part of the 28th Winesburg Reunion weekend. The event starts and finishes at Winesburg Park (7705 Township Road 671).

Packet pickup for the race begins at 7 am. The route is described as scenic and goes through farmland.

At the finish line, runners will find granola bars, bananas, and water. The top three male and female finishers receive medals. Every participant receives a voucher for an ice cream cone from Whitmer's General Store.

After the race concludes at the park, the Winesburg Fall Festival will be happening. There will be food trucks, baseball games, and other reunion activities throughout the day.

Parking is available in a field behind the playground at Winesburg Park. Participants should drive past the park entrance on TR 671 and enter the driveway at 7771 TR 671. Signs will be posted on race day to direct parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
