About the race
The Great Grape Race is a fundraiser held on September 19, 2026 at Winesburg Park and surrounding roads in Ohio. The event offers two course options and benefits the Winesburg Reunion.
The courses run through rolling hills in Amish Country, passing farmland and pastureland along Township Road 671 and Township Road 670. Both courses finish at Winesburg Park, where a Fall Festival will take place the same day with food trucks, softball games, and other festival activities.
Race amenities at the finish include cookies from Timbercrest Bakery and water. All participants receive a medal and a voucher for an ice cream cone from Whitmer's General Store. Packet pickup will be available the day of the race. The deadline to receive a t-shirt is August 31, 2026; registrations after that date will not include a shirt.
Parking is in the field behind the playground at Winesburg Park. Participants should drive past the park entrance on Township Road 671 and enter the drive at 7771 Township Road 671 to reach the parking field; signs will indicate parking on race day.
