The Great Erris Run 2026
The Great Erris Run is scheduled for Sunday, 9 August 2026 at the Broadhaven Bay Hotel in Ballinavode, County Mayo. A permit for the event has been approved, certificate number 26/268.
The event is held in memory of a long-serving member of the Our Lady’s Secondary School community who served the school since 1995 as a teacher, coach, and Special Needs Assistant, and who also had a career as a professional footballer with FA Cup and UEFA Cup wins. All donations from the event will go to Erris Youth Disability Network (EYDN), an organisation that works to create inclusive opportunities for young people with special needs across education, training, employment, and everyday life in the community.
