The Great Erris Run
The Great Erris Run is a community road event taking place in Mayo on 9 August 2026, based at the Broadhaven Bay Hotel. The event offers measured running distances and is presented as two options.

The event will be held in loving memory of a long-serving member of the Our Lady’s Secondary School community who worked as a teacher, coach, and Special Needs Assistant since 1995. All donations from this edition will support Erris Youth Disability Network (EYDN), an organisation that works to create inclusive opportunities for young people with special needs across education, training, employment, and everyday life in the local area.
