Achill Half Marathon & 10K
The Achill Half Marathon & 10K is an annual running event on Achill Island, Co. Mayo, on the west coast of Ireland. It takes place on the first Saturday of July and uses circular routes that run from and back to the village of Keel beside the Blue Flag beach. The island offers hills, wind and variable weather, which can affect conditions on course.
The event features two measured distances and past editions have included timing and published results. Places are limited; the 2024 event sold out by February and registration opens on 1 November for future editions. Organisers work with local authorities and community groups and acknowledge support from volunteers, local services and sponsors.
