Achill Half Marathon & 10K
The Achill Half Marathon & 10K is an annual road event on Achill Island, Co. Mayo, on the west coast of Ireland. The race is scheduled for 4 July 2026 and the organisers report that 2026 registration is full. The event takes place each year on the first Saturday of July.
Distances offered include:
- Half marathon (13.1 miles / 21 km), circular route
- 10K road route
The race starts and finishes in the village of Keel beside the Blue Flag beach. The course includes hilly sections and exposed stretches where wind and sometimes rain can affect conditions. Places are limited; the 2024 event sold out by February and registration opens 1st November for future editions.
Results and finish line media for recent years are provided by the event timing partner Pop Up Races, and a finish line video is available from the 2025 event. Organisers acknowledged volunteers for their role in the 2025 event and list a range of community and institutional partners and sponsors associated with the race.
