The Great Cow Harbor 10K Run 2026
The Great Cow Harbor event in Northport, NY on September 19, 2026 includes an in-person 10K race and a 2K Fun Run/Walk, plus a virtual 10K option. The in-person 10K is capped at 5,000 registrants; a waitlist is available while entries remain closed.
The event uses a USATF-certified 10K course and is part of the 2026 USA Long Island Track & Field Grand Prix Series. Media partners provide coverage and live online results; race photos and same-day finish line images are available.
Participant services include split clocks at every mile, a recorded 5K split, water stations located just after the 2, 3, 4 and 5 mile splits, baggage UPS trucks for bag check, an award ceremony at the gazebo, and a raffle requiring presence to win. Age-group and para-athlete awards are offered; prize money is listed for top overall finishers and masters, and a new course record bonus is available.
Number pickup takes place at William J Brosnan School on the day before and the morning of the event; bibs are also texted or emailed before pickup. Parking is available at Northport High School with shuttle bus service to and from the race area. Proceeds support Special Olympics Long Island, Northwell Health Foundation, the Veterans Administration, local food pantry efforts, and other local causes.
