The Goodale Park Marathon

The Goodale Park Marathon is an unofficial running event held in Columbus, Ohio. The event takes place at Goodale Park, with the central hub for the start, finish, and aid station located on Dennison Ave in front of the pickleball courts. Participation for all events is listed at no cost.

The event offers three distinct distances:

  • Marathon (30 Laps)
  • Half Marathon (15 Laps)
  • 1 Lap Best Time

This is an informal race without official timing or closed paths, meaning participants navigate the park alongside the general public. For the Marathon and Half Marathon, there are no formal awards.

The 1 Lap Best Time event focuses on a single 0.9 mile lap. Participants can attempt the lap multiple times to improve their standing while marathon runners are on the course. Volunteers record these times on a public display board, and prizes are awarded for the top performances in this category. Optional event merchandise is available during registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
