The Germazing Race 5K Run/Walk
The 15th Annual Germazing Race 5K Run/Walk takes place in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The event is hosted at St. Germaine School, located at 9735 South Kolin Avenue. The course is designed as an out-and-back route, starting and finishing at the corner of 98th and Kolin Avenue.
Participants can choose from the following event distances and activities:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- Kids Obstacle Course (for Pre-K through Second Grade)
Registered 5 km participants receive a race bib and a goody bag. A race shirt is included with registration, and participants can select between a long-sleeve or short-sleeve cotton t-shirt. To be guaranteed a shirt, registration must be completed by March 30, 2026. Same-day registration and packet pickup are available at the St. Germaine Activity Center.
The event features an awards ceremony where medals are presented to the top three male and female finishers in various categories. These categories include specific grade brackets from Kindergarten through 8th grade, as well as age divisions beginning at 14-19 and extending to 70 and older. The Kids Obstacle Course, also referred to as the Kids Dash, begins following the 5 km awards ceremony. All proceeds from the event benefit St. Germaine School.
