The Germazing Race 5K Run/Walk
The Germazing Race 5K Run/Walk is the 15th annual fundraising event held at St. Germaine School in Oak Lawn, Illinois on April 25, 2026. The event program includes a 5K Run/Walk on an out-and-back course that begins at the corner of 98th and Kolin Avenue with the finish located in the same area, and a Kids Obstacle Course for children in Pre-K through second grade.
All pre-registered 5K participants receive a goody bag and a cotton race shirt with the option of long or short sleeve when registered by March 30, 2026. Kids Obstacle participants receive a youth short sleeve shirt if registered by the same date. The 5K registration fee on race day is $45; the Kids Obstacle fee is $10. Additional apparel is available for purchase, including a youth grey hoodie and adult blue hoodies; adult 2XL and 3XL hoodies are offered at a higher price.
Medals are awarded to the top three males and top three females in each grade and age bracket. Grade categories include Kindergarten through 8th grade separated into smaller grade groups, and age brackets range from 14-19 up to 70 and over. Race packet pickup is offered on dates in the days before the event and on event day at St. Germaine School. The event benefits St. Germaine School.
