The Germazing Race 5K Run/Walk
The Germazing Race is an annual community running event held at St. Germaine School, 9735 S. Kolin Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL, USA, and benefits St. Germaine School. The event includes a 5K run/walk and a separate kids obstacle course for younger children.
The 5K is an out and back course that begins at the corner of 98th and Kolin Avenue, with the finish line located in the same area. Pre-registered 5K participants receive a goody bag and a cotton race shirt, with a choice of long sleeve or short sleeve if registration is completed by March 30, 2026. Children in Pre-K through 2nd grade may enter the Kids Obstacle Course; each kid registered by March 30, 2026 will receive a short sleeve shirt.
On race day there is same-day registration and packet pickup, and the 5K registration fee on race day is listed as $40. Awards include medals for the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three male and female in each age group. Awards are presented after the race.
