The Gerald Story Memorial Fun Run
The Gerald Story Memorial Fun Run is scheduled for 31 May 2026 at Worksop College, Cuthbert's Avenue, Worksop, S80 3AP. The event is organised by Worksop Harriers and held in memory of a founding club member. Profits from the event are being donated to Cancer Research. Entries opened on 18 June 2025 and close on 25 May 2026. Entry fees are £13.50 for UKA members and £15.50 for non-members. Entries so far show 11 participants.
Course, rules and facilities
The route is approximately 5.5 mile, mostly on trail through Clumber Park, with a short closed road section and varied scenery. The course is fully marshalled and has first aid support. The event holds a license pending with the Trail Running Association under EA rules. The minimum age to enter is 16. Dogs are not allowed. A medal is provided to everyone who finishes.
