The Gerald Story Memorial Fun Run

The Gerald Story Memorial Fun Run is an annual 5.5-mile trail running event held at Worksop College, starting in Worksop and winding through the scenic Clumber Park. The mostly trail course includes a short closed road section and is fully marshalled with first aid support. Open to participants aged 16 and over, the run honors Gerald Story, a founding member of Worksop Harriers, with all profits donated to Cancer Research.

Runners receive a medal upon finishing. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association under England Athletics rules and prohibits dogs on the course, ensuring a well-organized and supportive atmosphere for trail running enthusiasts.
