Course and logistics

Races run on the Pinhoti Trail with about 99% single-track and a short steep climb called "Mt. Baker". The route includes ridgeline sections and a rock garden. The 100 mile starts at the Dalton Convention Center, goes out to the Dry Creek Trail system, and returns; the Dry Creek trails are maintained by SORBA and feature fast runnable single-track through pine forest. The loop system on that section allows crew to see runners in the same spot for over 30 miles. Participants in the 18, 35, and 50 mile races are transported by bus to their start locations. Toilets are provided at the starting areas. The finish area includes seating, food, and beer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
