The Georgia Jewel
The Georgia Jewel is a trail running event taking place on September 18-19, 2026 in Dalton, Georgia. The event offers four race distances: 100 Miler, 50 Miler, 35 Miler, and 18 Miler.
The course runs primarily on the Pinhoti trail, which is approximately 99% single-track. It includes a notable climb referred to as "Mt. Baker." The 100-mile race starts at the Dalton Convention Center and utilizes the Dry Creek Trail system, which features runnable single-track through a pine forest. This loop-based section allows crew access to the same location for over 30 miles.
Runners for the 18, 35, and 50-mile distances are transported by bus to their respective starting lines. Toilets are available at the starting line. The finish line area offers food and beverages in a communal setting. The event is organized by a family team, and the registration capacity is 450 participants.
