Festival of the Feet : Georges Hall, Sydney
The Festival of the Feet is a community running event hosted by Western Districts Joggers and Harriers at Lake Gillawarna within Mirambeena Regional Park in Georges Hall. The event takes place on Sunday 12 July 2026 and offers multiple off road distances that follow pathways around lakes and along the Georges River. Course surfaces are mainly paved pathways with some short sections on grass, and road shoes are appropriate.
Distances offered:
- 3 km course on paved pathways with short grass sections
- 7 km loop through wetlands and lakes with some undulations
- 14 km route using extended park pathways and riverbanks
- 21.1 km half marathon along continuous park trails
Entry fees are $20 for 3 km, $30 for 7 km, $40 for 14 km and $55 for 21.1 km. All finishers receive a medal and trophies are awarded for first, second and third males and females in each event; the 7 km also has a trophy for the first team. Team entries are available for the 7 km with up to six members, the fastest four counted.
The event provides drink stations at multiple points on the courses and a staffed baggage area with tear-off tags on bibs. Children under five must be accompanied by an adult in the 3 km. Prams are allowed only in the 3 km and must start at the back. Dogs are not permitted on the courses but may remain on leash in the start precinct.
