The Gateway Resilience Run & Ride
The Gateway Resilience Run & Ride is a community fundraiser in St. Louis organized to raise money for local tornado relief. The event takes place at Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory School in St. Louis, which was significantly impacted by the storms.
Event formats include timed on-track running and walking, a group cycling ride, and a virtual option:
- 5K timed run or walk on the track
- 1 mile timed run or walk on the track
- 15 mile group ride for cyclists
- Virtual 5K option
Listed registration fees are $50 for the 5K, virtual 5K, and 15 mile group ride, and $25 for the 1 mile. The stated $50 registration includes a timed 5K or 15 mile group ride and an event shirt. The organizer notes that 100 percent of registration fees go directly to local tornado relief funds.
All event operations including race timing and management are donated by organizing groups so funds raised go to relief efforts. Funds raised will be split between Action STL and the City of St. Louis Tornado Relief Fund. The event program also includes music and snacks. No dogs are allowed at the event.
