The Fort 20
The Fort 20 is a looped trail event held at the 18th Century Landguard Fort in Felixstowe, Suffolk. The course starts and finishes within the fort walls and, in collaboration with English Heritage, crosses two nature reserves, two river estuaries and the Port.
The event covers 20 mile over mixed trail surfaces. The route is fully marked and a .gpx file is provided. On-course support includes three water and snack stations and a drop bag facility. Participants receive a long sleeve T-shirt and a race medal. The event operates under a six hour cut off and is licensed by the TRA and held under UK Athletics Rules. Competitors must be 18 years of age or older on race day.
Entry details stated for this edition include entries opening on 1 November 2025 and closing on 26 September 2026. Entry fees listed are £40 for affiliated runners and £42 for unaffiliated runners.
