The Fort 20
The Fort 20 is a looped trail race with its start and finish inside the walls of the 18th Century Landguard Fort in Felixstowe on the Suffolk peninsula. In collaboration with English Heritage the route crosses two nature reserves, two river estuaries and the Port.
The event covers a 20 mile mixed trail course. The route is fully marked and a GPX file is provided. Support on the course includes three water and snack stations and a drop bag facility. Participants receive a long sleeve T shirt and a race medal. The event is licensed by the TRA and held under UK Athletics rules. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older on race day. A six hour cut off applies.
Entries open on 1 November 2025 and close on 9 October 2026. Entry fees are listed as £40 for affiliated runners and £42 for unaffiliated runners. The race is organised by Coastal Trail Runners and takes place at Landguard Fort, Felixstowe, Suffolk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
