The First Four Miles - Buxhall New Years Trail
This community trail event at Buxhall Village Hall raises funds for Phab. It takes place on public footpaths and trails in Suffolk and offers options for children, runners and walkers. The course is a loop that begins and ends at Buxhall Village Hall, 16 Mill Road, Buxhall IP14 3DS.
Options on the route include:
- Children's Race: 1.5 miles
- Main Run: 4 miles
- Ramble: choose 1.5 miles or 4 miles
All participants receive a participation medal. Children in the Children's Race must be accompanied by an adult and remain within arm's reach of that adult for the duration of the event; the same supervision rule applies if children join the Main Run. Dogs are allowed on the Main Run (organizers ask that dog owners start toward the back) and on the Ramble; owners must collect and dispose of any dog mess.
The terrain is a trail and is likely to be muddy; appropriate footwear is recommended. Refreshments and a charity draw will be available in the Village Hall and require cash. Parking at the village hall is limited; Buxhall Business Park provides 50 extra parking spaces and additional toilets. Admission is required for all participants and 100% of the entrance fee will go to Phab. No refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
