The Felixstowe Triathlon 2027
The Felixstowe Triathlon takes place on 18 July 2027 at Felixstowe Leisure Centre. The event was the winner of Large Triathlon of the Year in 2022. Permit documentation is in progress with British Triathlon. Transition is located immediately south of the leisure centre.
Swim stages take place either in the leisure centre pool or in open sea along the adjacent Felixstowe beaches. The bike courses leave Felixstowe and run into the Suffolk countryside on undulating roads. All run stages finish with a flat route along the esplanade on tarmac.
The event lists multiple race formats with the following distances:
- Felixstowe Sprint - 750m swim, 20.5km bike, 5km run
- Felixstowe Standard - 1500m swim, 41.1km bike, 10km run
- Felixstowe Standard Aquabike - 1500m swim, 41.1km bike
- Felixstowe Super Sprint - 300m pool swim, 20.5km bike, 3km run
Course and event features include open water sea swims with entry/exit steps, a pool option for the super sprint, undulating road cycling, flat tarmac running, transitions with steps, aid stations on run routes, closed roads for runs, chip timing, numbered racking, and on-site parking.
