The Fast & The Furriest : overview
The Fast & The Furriest is a dog-friendly running event held in November at Bell Tower Shops, 13499 S Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Proceeds benefit the Gulf Coast Humane Society. Entry fees are listed as $30 for each event. Participants receive a T-shirt, a finisher medal with a commemorative race leash, and there are awards for top finishers and best-dressed pets.

- Pizza Run - four repeats of 1/4 mile (total 1 mile) with one small slice of pizza each repeat
Logistics and rules
Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet Fort Myers (Bell Tower) on the Friday before the event and there is a race day pickup window. A post-race pizza party is hosted at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria at Bell Tower, with pizza specials for participants and early bar service. Water will be available for both people and pets on the course.
Dog-specific requirements include non-retractable leashes no longer than 6 feet, one dog per participant, current vaccinations, and well-behaved, socialized animals. Aggressive dogs may be removed by event staff. Participants are required to clean up after their dogs; waste bags will be available on-site.
