The Eugene “Geno” Goodrich Foundation Fighting Melanoma 5K Run/Walk
The event is a community 5K run and walk held on September 26, 2026, at Farmingdale High School in Farmingdale, NY. The event is organized to raise funds for the Eugene “Geno” Goodrich Scholarship for a Farmingdale senior lacrosse player and to support the Melanoma Research Foundation. Proceeds from registration and donations go to those causes.
Registrants receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal. The event offers live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, post-race raffles, and the option for a personalized bib if registration is completed three weeks before the event. Volunteers receive a shirt. Registration fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a future year.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top male and female in age groups including 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
