The Eugene “Geno” Goodrich Foundation Fighting Melanoma 5K Run/Walk
The event takes place on September 26, 2026 at Farmingdale High School in Farmingdale, NY. It is organized as a 5K run/walk and is presented by the Eugene “Geno” Goodrich Foundation Fighting Melanoma.
Participants receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal. Event amenities include post-race raffles, live online, text and email results, free finish line photos, and a personalized bib for those who register at least three weeks in advance. Last-minute registrants may receive their bib number by text shortly after registering.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top male and female in each listed age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Registration options include standard entry, donation-only, and volunteer-only choices; volunteers receive a shirt. Registration fees are non-refundable and are applied to race expenses.
Proceeds benefit The Eugene “Geno” Goodrich Scholarship for a Farmingdale senior lacrosse player and support the Melanoma Research Foundation to raise awareness and funds for melanoma research. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
