The Eugene “Geno” Goodrich Foundation Fighting Melanoma 5K Run/Walk
This event is a community 5K run and walk on September 26, 2026 in Farmingdale, New York. The course starts and finishes at Farmingdale High School, 150 Lincoln Street, Farmingdale 11735. Registrants receive a T shirt and a finisher medal.
Event amenities include post race raffles, live results accessible by text and email, free finish line photos, and same day finish line video. Participants who register three weeks before the event receive a personalized bib. Volunteers receive a shirt.
Proceeds benefit a scholarship for a Farmingdale senior lacrosse player and the Melanoma Research Foundation to support awareness and research. Registration fees are non refundable and cover race expenses. Registration options include an entry fee and the opportunity to add a donation. Team entry is optional and teams may form a roster without guaranteed awards.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers, and to the top male and female in age groups including 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
