The East Coast "Chuffer"
The East Coast "Chuffer" is a trail running event on 4 October 2026 that starts and finishes at Peasholm Park, North Bay Promenade, Scarborough (What3Words ///unions.awards.lists). Races are licenced by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules. The route follows the old railway line known as the Cinder Track and combines coastal views, stretches of woodland, and sections of cinder surface and tarmac.

Registration opens at 7.30am at the stated What3Words location and bibs are collected on the day at registration. Parking is available in council car parks around Peasholm Park and on the seafront; local parking charges may apply. Route maps are provided for each distance, including a 6.7 mile loop used for the half marathon and marathon laps. Aid provision includes water stations approximately every 3 miles along the course.
Every finisher receives the event medal known as the Grim Bling. Entry prices range by distance; a range is listed in the event information.
