The Dusty Pig Half Marathon
The Dusty Pig Half Marathon takes place on March 29, 2026 in Saint Charles, Missouri, starting from Missouri Research Park. The 13.1 miles follow the event's "pork chop loop" across a mix of roads, paved trails and packed gravel sections.
The course begins on wide streets with about a 100 feet elevation drop over the first 1.5 miles. The following 4 miles run on the flat Katy Trail along the Missouri River with tree and bluff sheltering, shade, and river views. The next 4 miles are on the Hamburg Trail, a double-track packed gravel surface that gradually regains elevation under a tree canopy before exiting at the Interpretive Center called The Mound. Runners then transition to the smooth asphalt of the Busch Greenway for the final 3 miles, which feature rolling hills and views of spring flowers, lakes and prairie grass.
There are five volunteer staffed aid stations near miles 2, 5.75, 7.8, 10 and 11.5 offering water and Gatorade. Participants are advised to carry additional nutrition and fluids as needed. Dogs are not permitted on the course or at the event.
Packet pickup is available Saturday, March 28, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Fleet Feet in St. Charles and on race morning at the race site from 7:00 am to 7:55 am. Finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Awards by chip time go to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three male and female in each listed age group. A portion of proceeds supports Great Rivers Greenway. Volunteers receive race swag or a $10 Fleet Feet gift card. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
