Event details
The Drop - Huddersfield takes place on 27 December 2025 with the event centre at Coffeevolution, 8 Church St, HD1 1DD. Entry is open to people aged 18 and over on 27/12/2025. The listed entry fee is £45.50. The event offers the following distance options:

- 10 miles
Both distances are described as measured "as the crow flies," so the actual route on foot may be longer.
Format, rules and logistics
At registration participants hand over electronic devices and receive a race number and a sealed emergency bag. Participants board a bus, wear a blackout blindfold or an alternative, and are driven to an undisclosed drop-off location. From that point each person or team must find their way back to the event centre without external navigation aids.
Rules include no GPS or unauthorised maps, no shortcuts, and maintaining the seal on the emergency bag; breaking the seal results in disqualification. Teams are allowed as an option.
Parking is available in the town centre. The nearest railway station is about a 10 minute walk from the event HQ and the bus station about 5 minutes away.
Tracking and safety
Live GPS tracking is offered as an optional, paid feature and is not included in the entry fee. Trackers are listed as accurate to within 5 metres but can be affected by buildings or signal black spots. All trackers must be returned after the event or a £175 replacement fee will apply.
