The Downville Mile
The Downville Mile is a one mile road race in Greenville, South Carolina, scheduled for May 29, 2027. The course runs from a start on Whitlee Court to a finish at the Confluence Center, 575 Mauldin Rd #200, and features over 100 feet of downhill.
The event uses multiple race waves grouped by target mile pace: an open wave for slower paces, an intermediate open wave, and an elite wave for faster paces. All entries are one mile. Registration opens September 1, 2026 and closes January 5, 2027; the registration fee is $15.
Packet pickup is at the Confluence Center, 575 Mauldin Rd #200, with a pickup window scheduled in the late afternoon. Parking is at the Confluence Center at the finish; participants are expected to walk or run from the finish area to the start as a warm up. Vehicles must be clear of the course by the stated cut off time; drivers with beginners may be driven to the start but must follow the same course clearance requirement.
Prizes include top three overall awards and age group awards, and all finishers receive medals. The first 100 participants receive custom race socks. Haulin Hops will be on site serving beverages after the finish. Organizers note potential updates to course, location, time, and to event apparel and medals.
