The Downville Mile
The Downville Mile is scheduled for May 29, 2027 at the Confluence Center in Greenville, South Carolina. The event address is 575 Mauldin Rd #200. It is a point to point running race covering 1 mile from the start on Whitlee Court to the finish at the Confluence Center.
The course drops over 100 feet of elevation between start and finish and has no technical sections. There are no water stations on course; water and three portable toilets are available at the finish. A 20 minute time limit applies to complete the mile.
Racing is organized in three seeded waves so participants compete with others at similar paces, including an elite wave for faster runners. Parking is provided at the finish; participants walk or run from the finish area to the start as part of their warm up. Packet pickup is handled at the Confluence Center on race day and proxy pickup is not allowed.
The event includes chip timing with live results, a custom race bib, a custom finisher medal, custom finisher tattoo, event giveaways, a race sticker, and complimentary professional race photos. Awards include trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers and age group medals for first through third in 15 age categories. The race also counts toward Upstate Road Series and Upstate Brew Series season recognition. Registration opened September 1, 2026 and closed January 5, 2027 with a reported fee of $20 per entry.
