The Dorchester Sprint Triathlon
The Dorchester Sprint Triathlon is scheduled for 24 May 2026 at 1610 Sports Centre, Coburg Rd, Dorchester DT1 2HR. It is organised by Bustinskin Triathlon Club and is open to entrants aged 16 and over on 31/12/2026. The stated entry fee is £45.
Race format and course
The event comprises three short-distance legs:
- 300 m pool swim - 12 lengths of the pool
- 21 km bike (approx) - along rolling roads, with a summit at Hardy's Monument
- 5 km run (approx) - two laps around the Great Field at Poundbury, described as spectator friendly
The bike and run routes are described as on-road and accessible for spectators.
Entry, registration and event notes
Registration takes place on the morning of the event and competitors receive race materials at registration; registration and transition open and close on the morning of the event. The event runs twice a year, in May and October. Entries close when the race reaches its limit. The organiser advises taking out refund-protect insurance in case of injury.
