Castle Alpine Trail Race
The Castle Alpine Trail Race takes place at Castle Mountain Resort, Pincher Creek No. 9, Alberta. The event offers two main options:
- 28 km Solo
- 28 km Relay
The course crosses two mountain summits and an alpine valley. Terrain includes rugged single track, off-trail sections and significant climbing. Each stage starts and ends at the resort staging area, allowing quick transitions and centralized gear storage. The relay is organized in three legs: Leg 1 runs clockwise, Leg 2 counterclockwise, and Leg 3 clockwise.
Event operations include pre-race check-in and racer meetings, a volunteer briefing, a late check-in by reservation, and post-race dinner and awards after the course closes. Castle Mountain lists several nearby accommodation options including private rooms, a hostel and bed and breakfasts.
