The course is a mountain trail run that crosses two summits and an alpine valley. The route features wide-open vistas, rugged single track, off-trail sections, and sustained climbing. Each stage starts and ends at Castle Mountain Resort, allowing transitions from a central staging area without requiring a dedicated support crew. Relay stages are run as follows: Leg 1 clockwise, Leg 2 counterclockwise, Leg 3 clockwise.
Post-race activities at the resort include live music and on-site programming as the mountain closes for the day. Accommodation options in the area include private rooms, a hostel, and bed and breakfasts for those staying over the weekend.
