The Dirty Duathlon
The Dirty Duathlon is an off-road duathlon held on January 23, 2027 at Granite Beach, Folsom Lake SRA. The event uses a run, bike, run format on natural-surface trails. The mountain bike section is described as almost entirely on single-track trails and the running portions follow scenic trail routes.
Course distances:
- 2 mile run
- 6 mile mountain bike
- 2 mile run
Competition categories include individual competitors in 10-year age groups beginning with 19 and under and extending to 70+ for both males and females. Relay teams are offered in Male, Female, and Coed categories. Overall champion awards will be given to the first male and female finishers, and awards are presented three-deep in each 10-year age group. Relay category winners receive first place awards.
Entry fees are listed for individuals and two-person relay teams with higher prices on race day. The organizer maintains a no refund policy; refunds requested prior to race week are issued as event credit minus a $25 processing fee. Transfers between events are allowed within one year for a $25 fee and are not allowed during race week. All events are held rain or shine.
Each registered athlete receives a TBF Racing beanie and post-race food. Post-race fare includes hot soup or chili with fruit, cookies, and a beverage. Packet pickup is available on race morning at the race site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
