The Denim Run - Austin
The Denim Run - Austin is a community athletic event held at Camp Mabry, located at 2200 West 35th Street in Austin, Texas. The event features several running options and a Wellness Festival to support various nonprofit organizations, including the Summer Willis Foundation, TAASA, and End Rape on Campus.
Participants can choose from a range of distances:
- 5K
- The Denim Mile
- Kid's Run (1K)
The 5K course consists of a loop around Camp Mabry, providing views of the military installation and its surrounding landscape. The start and finish lines, as well as the festival area, are situated at the Camp Mabry Parade Field. For certain registration tiers, finishers receive a medal upon completing their run.
The accompanying Wellness Festival runs throughout the event morning and includes participation from local businesses and nonprofits. The festival area hosts various classes, arts and crafts stations, and interactive exhibits. The event includes an award ceremony and maintains a three-hour finish line cut-off for participants.
