Decker Challenge : December 13, 2026, Travis County Expo Center
The Decker Challenge returns for its 48th running on December 13, 2026 at the Travis County Expo Center. The event includes multiple distances and is held on a hilly course around Decker Lake; a notable climb near mile 10 is referred to as the Mile X Hill.

The Half Marathon has been designated the RRCA Texas State Championship race for 2026. Awards are provided for overall winners and for age group champions in 10-year increments; masters awards are included in the post-competition awards structure.
Title sponsorship for 2026 is provided by Next Level Urgent Care. Live participant tracking is offered through Brooksee’s Laurel Technology. Packet pickup will take place at The Loop Running Supply on December 6, and a shake out run is scheduled at Generator Athlete Lab before packet pickup.
This edition introduces a color-changing finisher medal for Half Marathon finishers and a long sleeve race shirt that changes color in sunlight and reveals messages when wet. Post-race beverages for finishers will be provided by Zilker Brewing and include two named drinks, Icy Boys and Heavenly Daze.
Proceeds from the Decker Challenge benefit the Marathon Kids program. The Deck the Halls 5K specifically supports the Housing Authority of Travis County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
