Decker Challenge 2026
The Decker Challenge takes place on December 13, 2026 at the Travis County Expo Center, 7311 Decker Ln, Austin, TX. The event marks the 48th annual running of the race series that began in 1979 on roads around Decker Lake in east Austin.
The event offers multiple distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K Deck the Halls Fun Run and Walk
- Kids Mile
All finishers receive a long sleeve technical fabric T-shirt and a Decker Challenge finisher's medal. Every Half Marathon finisher will receive a special edition medal that changes color in sunlight.
The Deck the Halls 5K supports the Housing Authority of Travis County. HATC is a government housing agency funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that has provided housing assistance and supportive services to low income families in Travis County since 1975. The 5K raises funds to support residents pursuing higher education, vocational training, or other skill building to increase self sufficiency.
