The Darkest Night 4K - HOPE 4 Youth
The Darkest Night 4K is a family friendly luminary lit run and walk scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2026, at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids. The event combines an evening route with activities before and during the program designed for participants of all ages.
Programming includes games and activities such as face painting, decorating a luminary, and a glow station. Organizers will also hold drawings and present awards for categories that include the largest team and highest fundraised team. The distance for the main event is 4 kilometers.
The stated aim is to raise awareness of the conditions youth experiencing homelessness face at night, including staying in shelters, sleeping on streets or in cars, and couch hopping.
