The Darkest Night 4K
The Darkest Night 4K takes place on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids. The event is a family friendly luminary lit run and walk with games and activities for all ages. Planned activities include face painting, decorating a luminary, a glow station, and additional family oriented activities. The evening will include drawings and awards, including recognition for the largest team and most fundraised participants.
The event raises awareness of the experiences some youth face when night falls, including staying in shelters, sleeping on the streets or in cars, and couch hopping. HOPE 4 Youth provides services intended to help young people feel safe, valued, and supported, beginning with meeting basic needs and continuing with resources and skills to find and keep stable housing. The event also serves to raise funds to support those services.
