The Dam Half and The Dam 4 mile-ish
The event takes place Sunday, September 27, 2026 at RB Winter State Park in Mifflinburg, PA. It offers a longer trail half marathon and a new shorter trail option through park trails.
The main course is mostly single-track trail connected by some forest roads and includes roughly 2300 feet of elevation gain. The route includes climbs, descents, rocky technical sections, rocks, mud, downed trees, stumps, roots, small stream crossings, scenic vistas, and a final downhill to the finish. Organizers advise listening to the pre-race gathering for current trail conditions and following orange ribbons for navigation; if a runner goes about 100 yards without seeing a ribbon they should return to the marked route.
Organizers enforce a six-hour overall time limit and use cutoff points at aid stations based on a 27.5 minute-per-mile average pace. Aid stations are located at Douty Mill Trail (5.2 miles), Black Gap Rd (8.7 miles), and McCall Dam Rd (11.2 miles).
A roughly 4-mile race option has been added and is presented as suitable for first-time trail runners and those seeking a shorter trail outing. Profits from the races will be shared with the Mifflinburg Hose Company and the Middleburg Boy Scouts. Registrations completed by Sunday, September 6 are eligible to receive the neck gaiter and gloves provided by the supplier. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
