Lewisburg Sprint Triathlon
The Lewisburg Sprint Triathlon is the third annual sprint-distance triathlon held at Lewisburg Area Recreation Park in Lewisburg, PA. The event features an outdoor pool swim, an open-road bike course, and an out-and-back run.
Race distances include:
- 300-yard outdoor pool swim
- 15-mile rolling bike ride on open roads
- 5K flat out-and-back run
Entries are offered for individual athletes and for relay teams of two or three people. Individual registration is listed at $99 and relay registration at $115. Registration windows are provided for the event.
Event operations use seeded corrals based on estimated 300-yard swim times; athletes are assigned corral and start order, with athletes sent five seconds apart and a two-minute break between age groups. Relays have a separate corral. Spectators may access the pool deck only when their athlete is being ushered in and must enter the pool deck through the main entrance or locker room.
A beginner triathlon clinic is scheduled the day before at West End Park, hosted by the race director and a USAT-certified coach. Packet pickup takes place the day before and the morning of the race at West End Park. Parking is available near the BVRA Ice Rink with overflow at the Miller Center.
Awards include overall male and female, top three relay teams, and age-group awards for standard age brackets. No refunds will be provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
