Dandelion Run - 5k / 10k Trail Race
The Dandelion Trail Run is a trail running event held at Camp Mt. Luther in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania. The race honors the memory of Rev. Glenn Heasley. The event features a trail course designed as a single loop for the shorter distance, which participants navigate twice to complete the longer distance.
The available distances for participants include:
- 5 km (3.1 miles)
- 10 km (6.2 miles)
Participants choose their distance on the day of the race. Those opting for the 10 km distance pass a water station at the conclusion of their first loop before starting the second. If a runner registered for the longer distance determines they cannot complete two loops, they must notify organizers before the start to change their registration, as stopping after one loop results in a "did not finish" status.
In addition to the main trail races, the event includes a kids fun run divided into two age categories: children aged 6 and under, and children aged 7 to 10. All participants in the kids fun run receive special awards.
For the primary races, the top two male and female finishers in both the 5 km and 10 km categories receive awards. Every participant who completes their distance is provided with a finisher award. Runners who register by the mid-August deadline are also eligible to receive a technical shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
