Event Overview
The Dam 8 races include three running distances: an 8K, a half marathon, and a marathon. The event takes place on May 17, 2026. The proceeds benefit the Deruyter Lake Preservation Fund.

Entry Fees and Registration
Entry fees vary by distance and registration date. For the 8K:
- $25 by May 1st.
- $30 after May 1st.
- $35 on race day. For the half marathon:
- $35 by May 1st.
- $45 after May 1st.
- $50 on race day. For the marathon:
- $45 by May 1st.
- $50 after May 1st.
- $50 on race day. No runners under 18 are permitted for the marathon.
Schedule and Location
All packet pick-up, starts, and finishes are at the same location: 260 East Lake Road, DeRuyter, New York 13052 (Glisson's Country Store). The start times are:
- Marathon: 7:30 AM
- Half-Marathon: 8:15 AM
- 8K: 9:00 AM The marathon course closes at 1:00 PM.
Participant Information
All participants receive a finish medal. Trophies are awarded to the male and female winners of each race. Age group awards are also given. A race T-shirt is optional for an additional $10. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
