The DAM 8

The DAM 8 is an 8K community race and a separate kids 1K run held in DeRuyter, New York on Sunday, May 17, 2026. The event is presented with the theme "vs. CANCER." Packet pickup is available before the races and a course map is provided.

Registration fees for the 8K are tiered: $30 by May 1, $35 after May 1, and $40 on race day. Entry for the kids 1K is free. Every registrant for the 8K receives a pair of knit touch screen running gloves stamped with the event logo.

Awards and finish items are distributed by category. Handcrafted awards are offered to the overall male and female winners, unique awards go to each age group winner, and medals are given to age group placers and to all kids runners.
