The Country Mile 48 Hour - Run/Walk
The Country Mile is a 48-hour run and walk event held at Beechwood Family Farm in Marietta, South Carolina from April 2 to April 4, 2027. The course is a loop of 4.167 miles with about 25 feet of gain per loop and a surface made up of mostly wide dirt paths with some grass and light gravel. Directional arrows mark each turn.
Participants use chip timing with a neoprene ankle strap; each lap is recorded automatically at a timing mat and chips must be returned to packet pickup at the end of the event. Aid station supplies include salty and sweet snacks, water, soda, coffee and soup, and support is reduced overnight as volunteers rest. The event is cup-less so participants must bring their own bottles or cups.
Camping on the farm is included from April 1 through April 4. Tent and car camping are available for free; RV spots are limited to the first 40 reservations at a fee. Meals are provided across the weekend and a beer truck will be on-site. Meal and beer tickets can be purchased during registration.
Awards include buckles for 100-mile finishers, finisher medals for other distances, cumulative mileage awards, a 100-mile lapel pin, and specialty buckles for higher cumulative totals.
