The Country Mile 48 Hour
The Country Mile 48 Hour is a 48-hour endurance run and walk held April 2–4, 2027 at Beechwood Family Farm, 204 Bates Bridge Rd, Marietta, SC. The event uses a looped 4.167 mile course with about 25 ft of elevation gain per loop and a surface made up mostly of wide dirt paths with some grass and light gravel. Directional arrows mark turns and chip timing records laps automatically with a bib and neoprene ankle strap.
Participants may run or walk continuously over the 48-hour period; timing is continuous and laps are recorded as runners cross the timing mat. Overnight aid station support is limited while volunteers rest. The aid station offers salty and sweet snacks, soup, and a range of drinks. This is a cup-less event; participants should bring their own hydration bottle or mug.
Camping from Thursday through Sunday is included for runners. RV camping is available for a fee and limited to the first 40 reservations. Meals are provided as a fundraiser by Travelers Rest High School Cheerleaders and a beer truck will be on site.
Awards include buckles for 100-mile finishers and finisher medals for other distances. Cumulative mileage awards and specialty buckles and pins are offered; cumulative totals are verified after the event via a shared mileage sheet. A participant volunteer program offers a 25% registration discount when a volunteer covers a 3-hour shift. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
