The Country Mile 48 Hour Run Walk
The Country Mile 48 Hour Run Walk is an endurance event held at Beechwood Family Farm, 204 Bates Bridge Rd, Marietta, SC 29661, across the weekend of April 2–4, 2027. Participants may camp on the farm from Thursday April 1 through Sunday April 4; RV spots are limited to the first 40 reservations and have a fee.
The event uses a looped course of 4.167 mile per lap with about 25 feet of elevation gain per loop. Surface is approximately 95 percent wide dirt paths with some grass and light gravel. Clear directional arrows mark turns. Chip timing records each lap automatically via a timing mat and a neoprene ankle chip; chips must be returned at packet pickup at the event.
Aid station offerings include salty and sweet snacks such as cookies, pretzels, candy, chips, pickles, and soup, and hydration options such as water, Coke, ginger ale, and coffee. This is a cupless event so participants must bring their own bottle or mug. Overnight aid station support is limited between 10 pm and 6 am while volunteers rest, although timing runs continuously.
Awards include buckles for 100 mile finishers and finisher medals for other distances, plus cumulative mileage awards and specialty pins or buckles for milestone totals.
