Event Overview
The Country Mile 48 Hour - Run/Walk takes place at Beechwood Family Farm in Slater-Marietta, South Carolina. This multi-day endurance event is held on a working produce farm, offering a course that winds through fields known for growing strawberries, corn, and tomatoes. The event is designed to accommodate up to 300 participants.
Course Information
The race is held on a looped course measuring 4.167 miles in length. The terrain consists of 95% wide dirt paths with sections of grass and light gravel. Each loop contains approximately 75 feet of elevation gain. The course is marked with directional arrows, and participants can set up camp directly along the route.
Distance Options and Format
Participants may run or walk as far as they choose during the 48-hour window. Common distance goals include:
- 50k (8 laps)
- 50 miles (12 laps)
- 100k (15 laps)
- 100 miles (24 laps)
- 150 miles
Electronic chip timing is used to record every lap completed. Results are tracked live and displayed on a monitor for participants to confirm their lap counts. A virtual 48-hour option is also available.
Logistics and Amenities
The event is cup-less, requiring participants to provide their own hydration bottles or mugs. An aid station provides water, soda, coffee, and a variety of sweet and salty snacks, though support is limited during overnight hours. On-site camping options include free tent and car camping, while RV spots are available for a fee.
In addition to the main endurance event, the weekend includes a 1-mile Kids Fun Run and Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning and a religious service on Sunday morning.
Awards
