The Compass Pointe 5K
The Compass Pointe 5K takes place on October 31, 2026, as a private event for residents of the Compass Pointe community, invited guests, and race sponsors. The event is a 5K walk/run through the neighborhoods of Compass Pointe and raises funds for Brunswick Family Assistance. Registration is online-only, opens January 1, 2026, and the listed entry fee for the 5K Walk/Run is $30. Registered participants receive an official 2026 Compass Pointe 5K T-shirt, a finisher medal, and official bib timing.
Event details and logistics
Packet pick up is available the day before the race at the Compass Pointe Wellness Center community room (2308 E Oak Bridge Way NE, Leland, NC 28451) and there is a last-chance packet pick up on race morning; packets will not be distributed after 8:30 AM. A post-race festival is planned inside and outside the Grand Lanai, with food prepared by the Compass Pointe Culinary Club, beer from Waterline Brewing Company, and live music by the band Whiplash. The event includes a neighborhood and club team competition and a volunteer program to support race operations. Awards will include a presentation to Brunswick Family Assistance.
