The Compass Pointe 5K

The Compass Pointe 5K is a private walk/run held in the Compass Pointe community in Leland, North Carolina, on October 31, 2026. The event routes through neighborhood streets and is organized to benefit Brunswick Family Assistance; a presentation to the charity is part of the race awards program.

Registration for the event includes an official 2026 event T-shirt, a finisher medal for all participants, and official bib timing. A post-race festival takes place inside and outside the Compass Pointe Grand Lanai and features food prepared by the Compass Pointe Culinary Club, beer provided by Waterline Brewing Company, and live music from the band Whiplash. The event also includes a friendly neighborhood and club competition and a new Voting District Competition for 2026, with the winner determined by the district that has the largest percentage of participants.

Packet pick-up and race-day procedures are handled through the community wellness facilities and the event page. The race is noted as a private event for Compass Pointe residents, invited guests, and race sponsors. A volunteer crew supports the event and helps with race operations and the post-race festival.
