The Color Run in Portland is a non-competitive 5K event held at Portland International Raceway, 1940 N Victory Blvd, Portland OR 97217. The course includes color zones at each kilometer where participants pass through food-grade colored powder. The event encourages participants to wear white to display the color effects.
Event logistics include packet pickup with a requirement to bring photo identification. There is a $5 fee for same-day packet pickup to encourage attendance at pre-packet pickup; someone may pick up packets for another person if the waiver has been signed online and the confirmation email is presented. Pre-ordered merchandise must be collected by the race start time or at packet pickup; unclaimed items cannot be mailed and will be forfeited.
Additional on-site details: parking may carry a cash fee up to $20, there is no bag check, and runners will be released in waves every 2-5 minutes. A race bib must be worn on the front of the shirt to access the course. Water stations are available on the course and at the finish line. Spectators can attend at no charge with viewing areas on both sides of the start/finish line.
After the run there is a Finish Festival or After Race Party featuring music and color throws. Refunds are not offered; tickets may be transferred to another participant or handled through the event organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
