The Christmas Jumper Jaunt
The Christmas Jumper Jaunt is a festive midweek running event organised by Saturn Running at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club on the River Thames in Egham TW20 0AA, UK. The event uses a looped course that is mainly made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section, and it is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. Road shoes are suitable year round.
This is a seven hour time challenge that allows participants to complete as many laps as they wish within the time limit. A full lap is stated as 4.37 miles (about 7 km) but the course may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on conditions. The minimum distance is 5 km. The organiser provides distance pins for half marathon and longer distances and awards a finisher medal to anyone who completes at least one lap.
Facilities at race headquarters include toilets, a cafe, a bag drop area that is unmanned, and an aid table with vegan options. The event lists a goody bag with a vegan option and distance pins for certain achievements. A large pay on exit carpark is available at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Spectators are welcome and headphones are allowed on the public footpath course.
