About the race
The Christmas Jumper Jaunt is a lap based timed challenge organised by Saturn Running at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham TW20 0AA, UK. The event uses a riverside route along the River Thames that is fully signed and mainly on well made paths and tarmac, with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable year round. The regular lap is 4.37 miles (about 7 km) but the course may be changed to a shorter 3.28 mile loop depending on conditions. The minimum recorded distance is 5 km.
The event is a 7 hour Time Challenge that lets participants choose how many laps to complete within the time limit. Typical lap counts used by the event are three laps for a half marathon, six laps for a marathon and seven or more for an ultra; a 50 km option is also available. Walkers are welcome as well as runners.
Included for participants are a finisher medal for completing at least one lap, a goody bag with a vegan option, full aid tables with vegan choices, toilets and a bag drop. The bag drop is unmanned and items are left at the participant's own risk. Distance pins are available for half marathon distance and above. The course and logistics are subject to change following the organiser's health and safety review. Headphones are allowed and the route runs on public footpaths.
