Event details
The Christmas Eve 5k takes place on December 24, 2025, on the North Shore of Pittsburgh. The event includes an in-person run/walk, a virtual run/walk option, and a free-entry registration category for children aged 4 and under. The start line is on W. General Robinson St. by PNC Park and the finish is one block away on North Shore Drive. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal, and award medals are given to top finishers in each age group. A custom bib with a participant name is guaranteed for those who register by December.
Logistics and on-course services
The 2025 edition uses a new riverfront course along the North Shore with city skyline views. There will be a water stop at the 1 mile mark and portable restrooms between the start and finish on Mazeroski Way. Strollers and walkers are permitted. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Parking is available at Gold Lots 1 and 2 for $8; other North Shore lots may be available, some of which may be free. Packet pickup details are listed as coming soon. There is a 90-minute time limit to complete the race. Free professional race photos and a drink ticket redeemable for hot chocolate, coffee, or cider are provided, and Santa will be present during the event.
