About the race
The Cheviot trail RELAY race is a three-lap, 15-mile off-road relay held from The Cheviot Centre in Wooler, Northumberland. Teams of three (or two or individuals) run three 5-mile laps, with the baton handed between teammates. The course climbs to Humbleton Hill, heads north along St Cuthberts Way, and returns for a thrilling descent back to the Cheviot Centre.
Each 5-mile lap includes around 800 ft of ascent. The route is fully marked, and fell/trail shoes are recommended. This social relay atmosphere suits clubs, groups, or friends, emphasizing teamwork amid the Cheviot hills. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
