Run Northumberland Castles Half Marathon : Bamburgh, 18 October 2026
The event is a road Half-Marathon held in Bamburgh (NE69 7DF). The route is a loop on closed roads between Bamburgh and North Sunderland. The profile is undulating with many flat sections and offers views toward the Farne Islands, Holy Island and the North Sea. The surface is road and the course is traffic free.
Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport. Official race positions are based on gun time; chip times are for personal use. Distance markers appear every mile and bottled water is available approximately every 3 miles. Race HQ at the links car park provides registration, bag drop, toilets, changing facilities, parking, first aid and refreshments.
Entries are limited to 1200 and close on 10 October 2026. Entry fees start from £30 for affiliated runners and £32 for unaffiliated runners. Minimum age to enter is 17. Up to 14 days before the event runners may request to change or defer entries; no changes can be made within 14 days of the race.
Prizes include a finisher medal and a t-shirt. Individual prizes are awarded to the first three men and women, with additional age category awards for veteran groups and team prizes for male and female teams where three scoring members wear a club vest.
