The CCC's General 5K

Event Overview

The CCC's General Community Run/Walk is a local 5K running and walking event. It is organized by the CCC Community Development Corporation to benefit "The General's Scholarship Fund".

Location and Date

The event takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at The Christian Church of Chester, located at 308 West 3rd Street in Chester, Pennsylvania.

Distances and Registration

Participants can choose from three options:

• 5K run/walk
• Competitive Walking 5K (walking only, no running or jogging allowed)
• 1 Mile Non-Competitive Walk

Event Schedule and Amenities

Day-of registration opens at 7:30 AM. The event includes a race shirt for participants. There is an optional pre-race "CCC Open House" with community partners. Post-race, there is a celebration with music, light bites, a cookout, a cornhole tournament, and other games.

Awards and Timing

Awards are given to the top male and female overall finishers and the top male and female masters finishers (scored by gun time). Award medals are given to the top three male and female participants in each age group (scored by chip time) and to the top three male and female walkers. The event is chip-timed using the MYLAPS BibTag Timing System. Photos will be posted online after the event.
