The Bull Run - Midland
The Bull Run takes place on September 20, 2026 in Emerson Park, Midland, Michigan (1300 W. Main St.). The event includes an in-person 5K, a youth 1 mile run called the Calf Mile, and a virtual 5K option. Proceeds support ALS of Michigan to assist people living with ALS.
Distances and formats:
- 5K: chip timed course using all three legs of the Tridge and returning to Emerson Park.
- Calf Mile (1 mile): free, untimed run for children ages 10 and under.
- InvisaBULL 5K (virtual): complete the distance anywhere; medal and shirts, if ordered, will be shipped by Sept 27, 2026.
Registration opens May 1, 2026 and deadlines differ by event. Early 5K registration begins at $35; the virtual 5K registration is listed at $45. The Calf Mile is free for eligible children. Performance t-shirts are available as an add-on through September 6, 2026.
All registered in-person finishers receive a finishers medal. The medal is a dog tag style that reflects the event’s military service symbolism. The in-person 5K is chip timed and professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Official results will be posted after the event.
