Buckeye Triathlon & Multisport Festival
The Buckeye Triathlon & Multisport Festival is scheduled for May 31, 2026 at Caesar Creek State Park Beach in Waynesville, Ohio, north of Cincinnati. Packet pick-up and the start/finish area are at the beachfront just north of the park office (8570 OH-73); race activity is on the grass by the beach. There is parking and restrooms at the beachfront.
The event hosts multiple timed race formats across a range of distances: triathlons, duathlons, aquabikes, aquathlons, open water swims and open runs. Race distance categories include beginner, sprint, Olympic and 1/3 iron. Sample distances listed for triathlons are: Beginner (200m swim / 6.5ml bike / 1.5ml run), Sprint (750m / 14ml / 5k), Olympic (1500m / 26ml / 10k) and 1/3 Iron (2000m / 38ml / 9.3ml). Open water swims are offered at 1500m, 3k and 5k. Open runs include 5k, 10k and 9.3 miles.
Registration is online only and all participants must hold a valid USA Triathlon license (annual or one-day pass). The event provides professional in-race photography and posts results online; results are submitted to USA Triathlon within 15 days and reported in five-year age groups for ranking purposes. Race tee shirts are available in men’s, women’s and youth cuts; race medals are provided and the first 250 registered are noted in the event materials as recipients, with a two-week advance registration guideline to guarantee a medal.
