Overview
The Buckeye Triathlon & Multisport Festival is a multisport event held on May 31, 2026. It takes place at Caesar Creek State Park Beach in Waynesville, Ohio, situated north of Cincinnati and south of Dayton. The event venue offers ample parking at the beachfront, with registration, start, and finish lines located there.
Events and Distances
The festival features a wide range of multisport and single-discipline events.
- Triathlons: Beginner (200m swim / 6.5 mi bike / 1.5 mi run), Sprint (750m swim / 14 mi bike / 5k run), Olympic (1500m swim / 26 mi bike / 10k run), and 1/3 Iron (2000m swim / 38 mi bike / 9.3 mi run).
- Duathlons: Beginner (1.5 mi run / 6.5 mi bike / 1.5 mi run), Sprint (1.5 mi run / 14 mi bike / 5k run), Olympic (5k run / 26 mi bike / 10k run), and 1/3 Iron (5k run / 38 mi bike / 9.3 mi run).
- Aquabikes: Sprint (750m swim / 14 mi bike), Olympic (1500m swim / 26 mi bike), and 1/3 Iron (2000m swim / 38 mi bike).
- Aquathlons: Sprint (750m swim / 5k run), Olympic (1500m swim / 10k run), and 1/3 Iron (2000m swim / 9.3 mi run).
- Open Water Swims: Distances of 1500m, 3k, and 5k.
- Open Runs: Distances of 5k, 10k, and 15k (9.3 miles). A High School Sprint Triathlon is also offered.
Additional Information
Registered participants receive an event t-shirt (with gender-specific and youth sizing available), a custom race bib, a finisher medal, and a post-race meal. Medical support and law enforcement are present on site. Packet pickup is available on the Saturday before the event and on race morning at the beachfront.
