Buckeye Triathlon & Multisport Festival
The Buckeye Triathlon & Multisport Festival takes place on May 31, 2026 at Caesar Creek State Park Beach in Waynesville, Ohio, north of Cincinnati. The event is a multisport festival with timed triathlons, duathlons, aquabikes, aquathlons, open water swims, and open runs across a range of standard distances.
Triathlon distances include:
- Beginner triathlon: 200 m swim, 6.5 mi bike, 1.5 mi run
- Sprint triathlon: 750 m swim, 14 mi bike, 5k run
- Olympic triathlon: 1500 m swim, 26 mi bike, 10k run
- 1/3 Iron triathlon: 2000 m swim, 38 mi bike, 9.3 mi run
Duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, open swim and open run distances mirror triathlon distances for each format, including open swims of 1500 m, 3k, and 5k, and open runs of 5k, 10k, and 9.3 miles.
Race operations are based at the beachfront north of the park office at 8570 OH 73, Waynesville OH 45068. Packet pick-up, transition check-in, and start and finish areas are at the beach area. There is beachfront parking and restrooms; festival activity is on the grass near the beach.
The event is USA Triathlon sanctioned. Registration is online only and all participants must hold a valid USA Triathlon license or one-day pass. The festival provides in-race photography, finisher medals, designer shirts in men’s, women’s and youth cuts, and a post race meal for athletes and spectators.
