Broken Arrow Skyrace : Palisades Tahoe, Lake Tahoe, CA
The Broken Arrow Skyrace is a multi-day mountain running event held June 18 to 21, 2026 at Palisades Tahoe near Lake Tahoe. The program includes multiple distances, youth events, and special multi-day options. Courses feature high-alpine terrain, much of it above the tree line, with steep slabs of rock, scree, potential snow slopes, exposed ridgelines, bolted hand lines, ladders, and a via ferrata section on one course.
Race entries include limits and age minimums for some distances and select events are capacity limited. The event offers a youth national component, Trail Futures NTN, for athletes roughly ages 10 to 18, and a kids race for age 10 and under that covers slightly less than one kilometer, is untimed, and charges a $20 entry fee with day-of registration available.
The 2026 edition awards $150,000 in cash prizes distributed among the Ascent, 23k, and 46k events, with prize allocation by placing and gender. Post-race activities include food, beer, music, seminars, films, and family-oriented programming. Registration opens December 8 at 9:00 AM PST and closes June 10 at 11:59 PM PT; some distances commonly sell out and several offer waitlists.
