The Bridge Triathlon - Dartford
The event takes place in and around the Bridge Development by the Dartford Bridge and uses a multi lap course format for swim, bike and run sections. Multiple race formats are offered, each running on lap-based circuits that aim to be spectator friendly.
Distances and formats:
- GOTri: 300 m swim, 10 km bike (3 laps), 2.2 km run
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike (6 laps), 4.5 km run
- Relay: 750 m swim, 20 km bike (6 laps), 4.5 km run
- Duathlon: 5 km run, 20 km bike (6 laps), 2.5 km run
- Stranded: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike (12 laps), 10 km run
Practical information includes registration on site, parking in the Crosswaters car park about 300 m from registration, and a marshal presence to assist with parking and course operations. Competitors receive two race numbers, one to wear and one for the bike. Toilets are located about 150 m from registration and the key is held at registration. Bike racking is unnumbered but ample.
Safety and race rules follow British Triathlon Federation procedures. Helmets must be fastened before moving a bike from transition and numbers must be visible rear on the bike and front during the run. Drafting is not permitted and a draft zone and time limits apply. A risk assessment will be displayed near registration. Timing may not be chip based and splits may be recorded where possible. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
