The Bones Run 5K : Standing Bear Lake, Omaha
The Bones Run 5K is a nighttime themed road and trail run hosted by the Omaha Running Club at Standing Bear Lake, using the north entrance on North 132nd Street near Papio Lake 16 Road. The event uses an out-and-back course described as "dark" and includes a water stop along the route. Participants are encouraged to use headlights while on course.
The entry fee includes race registration, a t-shirt, glow necklaces, and an invitation to the after-party at Legends Patio Grill and Bar. Appetizers and a refreshment coupon are provided to participants at the after-party. T-shirts are not guaranteed after 2026-10-15.
Awards are presented for Overall Male and Female finishers as well as age group awards. Additional awards are given for the best costumes. Costumes are encouraged. The minimum age to run is 18 years unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pets are not allowed on the race course. The event will be capped at 250 participants.
