The Bones Run 5K
The Bones Run is a nighttime 5K hosted by the Omaha Running Club at Standing Bear Lake, at the north entrance on North 132nd Street and Papio Lake 16 Rd N in Omaha, NE. The event is themed for an evening run along moonlit trails and uses an out-and-back "dark" course with a water stop on the route. Participants are encouraged to bring headlights and wear costumes; awards will be given for the best costumes as well as overall male and female finishers and age group placings.
Entry includes race registration, a t-shirt, glow necklaces, and an invitation to an after-party at Legends Patio Grill and Bar with appetizers and a refreshment coupon for each participant. T-shirts are not guaranteed after 10-15-2026. Packet pickup and late registration are available race day only at the first parking lot at Standing Bear Lake. The event will be capped at 250 participants. The minimum age to run is 18 years unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pets are not allowed on the race course.
