The Bones Run 5K
The Bones Run 5K is a night-time themed race hosted by the Omaha Running Club at Standing Bear Lake (132nd Street and Papio Lake 16 Rd N, first parking lot, north entrance on 132nd Street south of Military Rd), Omaha, NE 68164. The event uses an out-and-back trail course through dark sections of the park and includes a water stop along the route. Headlights are encouraged and no pets are allowed on the race course.
Entry fee includes race entry, a t-shirt, glow necklaces, and an invitation to the after-party. T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after October 15, 2026. The event is capped at 250 participants. The minimum age is 18 years unless a participant is accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Costumes are encouraged; awards will be given for the best costumes as well as Overall Male and Female and age group winners. Packet pickup and late registration are race day only at Standing Bear Lake in the first parking lot (north entrance on 132nd Street south of Military Rd). The after-party is scheduled at Legends Patio Grill and Bar, 6910 North 102nd Circle, Omaha, NE, where appetizers and a refreshment coupon are provided to each participant.
