The Bones Run 5K
The Bones Run 5K is a nighttime themed road trail run held on October 23, 2026, at Standing Bear Lake near the north entrance on 132nd Street south of Military Road in Omaha, NE. The course is an out-and-back "dark" route along the lake trails with a water stop on course; headlights are encouraged.
Entry includes race registration, a t-shirt, glow necklaces, and an invitation to an after party at Legends Patio Grill and Bar (6910 North 102nd Circle, Omaha, NE). The after party will include appetizers and a refreshment coupon per participant. An awards ceremony will follow the run, with prizes for Overall Male and Female, age group placings, and the best costumes. Costumes are encouraged.
The event sets a minimum age of 18 years unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pets are not allowed on the race course. Participant numbers will be capped at 250. Packet pickup and any late registration occur on race day at Standing Bear Lake (first parking lot at the north entrance). T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations received after October 15, 2026.
