The Bones Run 5K
The Bones Run 5K is a night-time themed 5K held Friday, October 23, 2026, at Standing Bear Lake in Omaha, Nebraska. The event takes place on moonlit trails as an out-and-back dark course with a water stop along the route. Headlights are encouraged and pets are not allowed on the race course.
Entry includes registration, a t-shirt, glow necklaces, and an invitation to an after-party at Legends Patio Grill and Bar. Appetizers and a refreshment coupon are provided to each participant at the after-party. An awards ceremony follows with prizes for Overall Male and Female finishers and age group awards. Costume entries are encouraged and prizes are awarded for the best costumes.
The minimum age for solo participation is 18 years; younger participants may run if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Packet pickup and late registration are available on race day at the north entrance to Standing Bear Lake (132nd Street south of Military Road). T-shirt availability is not guaranteed after October 15, 2026.
Registration fees noted for the event are $45 for early registration through October 15, 2026, and $50 thereafter through October 23, 2026. The event is capped at 250 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
