Event Overview
The Bluebell Bimble is a six-mile trail race. It takes place in the rolling Derbyshire countryside between Chesterfield and the Peak District. The route is a self-guided loop.
Course Details
The course features the Linacre Reservoirs and surrounding bluebell woods. The terrain includes long flowing descents, easy forest trails, and one tough climb near the end. The route is described as very runnable and follows good paths.
Event Logistics
The event is self-guided. Runners receive written instructions to follow on the day. There are no marshals on the route. Participants start and finish at Wadshelf Village Hall in Wadshelf. Runners may choose their own start time within the event day.
All participants are responsible for their own safety. Carrying a waterproof jacket, warm layers, and a working mobile phone is required. The race operates under UK Athletics rules.
Participation & Fees
The minimum age to participate is 16. No dogs are permitted. Entry fees are £5.00 for UKA affiliated members and £7.00 for non-members. Refunds are only given if the race is cancelled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
