The course follows a border around acres of vegetable fields. The surface is mainly well traveled dirt with some pasture sections where small animals reside. The exact trail route can change depending on summer rainfall, and there is little net elevation gain or loss.
Facilities on site include camping spots for runners and crews and one fully stocked aid station located on the loop. The aid station is available each lap and includes flush toilets. Crews may support runners from campsites or from vehicles and may remain on the farm during the event.
The event name references the farm and a nearby park named The Good Earth at Blood Run. The format is intended to reflect aspects of working and moving around an organic vegetable farm. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
