The Bishop's 5K 2025 takes place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Wilmington, Delaware at Saint Mark's High School, 2501 Pike Creek Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. The event includes a 5K race. Standard registration is $40; children and students aged 18 and under are $18 until October 1, then $25. Same-day registration is available for $45. Registration prices increase after November 11, 2025.
Awards are given for overall male and female, overall masters male and female, and the top three in each age group. Age groups are 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Overall and masters results are based on gun time; age-group results are based on chip time.
Purpose and community features
All proceeds from the Bishop's 5K support Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Wilmington. Funds are used for emergency food and shelter, financial assistance for rent and utilities, maternity care and housing through Bayard House, affordable housing for low-income seniors, a diabetes prevention program, and job training and financial literacy programs across Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
The event includes a Diocesan Catholic School Challenge. The diocesan school with the most pre-registered participants by midnight on Friday, November 22 wins a cash prize: 1st place $1,000, 2nd place $500, 3rd place $250.
