Delaware Trail Fest - October 17, 2026
Delaware Trail Fest takes place at Lums Pond State Park in Bear, Delaware. The event offers multiple trail running formats around the lake and on nearby single-track trails. The race applies an age-grading formula to adjust results across ages and genders.
Distances include:
- 12 Hour Lone Wolf - Run as many laps as possible; lap approx 7.35 miles.
- 12 Hour 4 Person Relay - Team completes laps alternately within the 12 hour time limit.
- 24KM - Two laps around the lake.
- 12KM - One lap around the lake.
The course is roughly 70% single track, 10% gravel and 20% wider trails, with mostly flat sections and some rolling terrain. The route will use the Swamp Forest Trail with possible small adjustments to avoid wet sections.
Aid stations are spaced about 3 to 4 miles apart; Gatorade and water are available and runners are advised to carry hydration between stations. The event is chip-timed; bibs must be worn on the front and not folded to avoid chip damage. Bibs and swag are available on race day only.
Every participant receives a sweatshirt; 12KM and 24KM finishers receive a custom hat. Special milestone awards and age/gender-adjusted awards are part of the results. Registration closes October 13. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
